Welcome to the Agdaagux Tribe of King Cove Environmental Department official webpage. The Environmental Department is funded by an EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) IGAP (Indian General Assistance Program) Grant. The ATC (Agdaagux Tribal Council) Environmental Department’s goal is to implement, educate, and promote environmental programs and awareness in King Cove, meanwhile continuing to address the communities concerns in cooperation with the City of King Cove, Belkofski Tribe, King Cove School and other local organizations. Currently we are working on educating residents about energy conservation in homes, and this summer we will work closely with the King Cove Harbor to organize and clean-up fishing gear and solid/hazardous waste. We also maintain our other program in the community such as, our recycling center. The funding for testing clams from the lagoon for paralytic shellfish poison (PSP) has ran out, but as soon as it comes back, we will continue to do this monthly.
